Colm Toibin (pictured) recent winner of the Irish Pen Award 2011 looks at his portrait by artist Aidan Hickey, which was unveiled at today’s launch (Wednesday 16 March, United Arts Club, Dublin) of a major national art exhibition, the 133rd annual exhibition of the Dublin Painting & Sketching Club, which includes a special literary theme this year to celebrate Dublin’s award as the City of Literature (UNESCO Award 2010). The exhibition opens to the public on Monday 4 April for two weeks until Sunday 17 April at the Concourse Gallery, Dun Laoghaire County Hall in Dun Laoghaire.
